Our Melbourne studio is looking to appoint a proactive, outcomes focussed individual to our Business Development team – the successful candidate will be responsible for strategically planning and co-ordinating the studio’s business development activities and driving the identification and securing of new work from both new and existing clients. The role will report to the Managing Principal, and also liaise with the Head of Business Development, Melbourne Principals and wider Business Development team and requires you to be a highly motivated professional who understands the design services profession and connects with the HASSELL business culture and objectives.
We are looking for the right person and open to adapting the role to suit the successful candidates.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
_Undertaking research and identification of new target markets relating to the property and development industry
_Tracking business development activities and monitor outcomes against these parts including overseeing key new business opportunities, wins and losses and coordinating reports to management
_Co-ordinating and providing strategic input to large submissions, tenders and expressions of interest
_Growing the quality and quantity of new work opportunities across all disciplines within the studio
_Developing and implementing a targeted calendar of in house events including guest speakers, lunches, workshop and major client events
Key skills and experience
To apply, you will be degree qualified in a business development, marketing, or design profession with a minimum of 3 years professional experience. You must also be capable of working closely with all Principals, with a high degree of personal energy, maturity and initiative, and have excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Also essential is the ability to build client relationships and CRM knowledge would be highly regarded.
