The function:

As a Production Coordinator you will lead a group of 15 to 20 fitters/platters and you will be responsible for all the steel work for vessels under construction/finishing phase. You will report to the Production Manager. This position is based in The Netherlands.

 

Your daily tasks include:

• Discussing the activities within the department.
• Instructing the group about the work order and work approach.
• Distribution of work, taking into account capabilities of staff and urgency of assignments.
• Solving problems, being the first source of information for all the issues related to steelwork.
• Registration of working hours.
• Inform the management about the progress in a timely and complete manner.

 

Who we are looking for:

To be successful in this role we require the following expertise:

• BSc Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience (within the naval industry).
• English spoken and written.
• Not minding doing extra hours.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
